As the world becomes more modernized and technology-driven, people are getting more and more disconnected from nature. With the rise of sedentary jobs and lifestyles, physical activities have become an essential part of maintaining good health. However, many people find conventional gym workouts tedious, monotonous, and lack motivation to stay consistent.
This is where Move to Flow comes in, an innovative and motivating fitness system that combines different physical activities that have in common to be based on simple, natural, outdoor, nature-based movements. Inspired by ancestral human and animal movements coupled with new capabilities developed by humans such as yoga, dance, meditation, and physical skills, the goal of Move to Flow is to make a compendium of these skills fun, accessible, challenging, and effective.
The main aim of Move to Flow is to improve strength, power, flexibility, mobility, and coordination for all levels of fitness enthusiasts. The system is designed to promote physical, mental, and social well-being through natural movement, in harmony with nature. In this article, we will discuss the specific objectives of the Move to Flow project and its expected results.
Objective 1: Analyze the Benefits of Move to Flow
The first objective of the Move to Flow project is to analyze the benefits (physical, mental, and social) of natural movement. The project aims to design and validate a self-perception questionnaire about the benefits of physical activities and natural movement. The questionnaire will be distributed among participants in the project, and the results will be analyzed to identify the physical, mental, and social benefits of natural movement.
The project also aims to discuss the results with stakeholders and present conclusions. Stakeholders include coaches, sport organizations, and participants. The project will identify the benefits of natural movement and share them with stakeholders to promote the adoption of natural movement in fitness programs and physical activities.
Objective 2: Design a Training Program for Trainers in Move to Flow
The second objective of the Move to Flow project is to design a training program for trainers in natural movement. The project will carry out training workshops for trainers to teach them the skills and techniques of natural movement. The workshops will be designed to improve the trainers’ knowledge and skills in natural movement and equip them to teach it to their clients.
The project aims to train at least 75 coaches, educators, and volunteers during the project. The training will be conducted by experts in natural movement, and the participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training program.
Objective 3: Raise Awareness about the Need for Promoting Physical Activities
The third objective of the Move to Flow project is to raise awareness about the need for promoting physical activities among groups that have less access opportunities for economic, social, or family reasons. The project aims to organize a conference on the benefits of Move to Flow for general practitioners and special groups.
The target group for the conference includes participants, coaches, sport organizations, and stakeholders. The conference will be an opportunity to share the results of the project, discuss the benefits of natural movement, and promote its adoption in physical activities. The conference will also serve as a platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities in promoting physical activities among groups with less access to opportunities.
Expected Results
The Move to Flow project expects to achieve the following results:
RE1: Handbook on Move to Flow: The project will develop a handbook on natural movement, including techniques, skills, and training programs. The handbook will be a comprehensive guide for coaches, educators, and volunteers to teach natural movement to their clients.
RE2: Conference to Boost Up the Dissemination of Project Results and Outputs: The project will organize a conference to disseminate the results and outputs of the project. The conference will be an opportunity to discuss the benefits of natural movement and promote its adoption in physical activities
